How We Got Started

Melissa is the creative director of Klassy Nails, a nail salon located in Nassau, Bahamas. With over 14 years of experience, she is known as one of the best nail artists in the country. Her passion for the beauty industry, nails in particular, commenced at the age of 16 while on a trip to Jamaica. This passion is what led her to being a master of her craft.

Melissa pursued her passion at the Tamco School of Nails in 2010, expanded her knowledge even further at Miracle University in 2017, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Klassy Nails was no longer a dream, but a reality. Klassy Nails, a newly opened business at this time, had become a positive stepping stone for many inspiring Nail Technicians and it still is, to this present day. She has hosted and continues to host periodically intimate workshops, to teach and assist people with building their personal and professional skills in this unique trade. With a team of five, these workshops have been nothing less than successful. Her reputation, clientele and exceptional customer service continues to grow with each passing day.

Klassy Nails is making a positive impact on the beauty industry by raising the standard of excellence. This standard that has been accepted by society, propelled Melissa into opening two other stores in 2022. The second store being Tranquility Day Spa, a salon hosting a Lash Technician, Nail Tech (Melissa) and a Hair Stylist. The third store Vibrations; an online faith-based store that specializes in clothing and accessories. 

''Being able to interact with a broad scope of individuals, networking, inspiring upcoming entrepreneurs and learning along the way", Melissa states, is the greatest reward she has received as an entrepreneur. She consistently pursues ways to evolve and is grateful to God for her amazing support system, clients and everyone who made this journey worthwhile.
